Cellist Louisa Tuck er solocellist i Oslo-Filharmonien, en stilling hun tiltrådte sent i 2015. Før dette var hun gruppeleder for cello i Royal Northern Sinfonia i åtte år. Hun har nylig vært gjestesolist i både Philharmonia Orchestra og Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Louisa har i mange år samarbeidet med pianist Anna Tilbrook, og de har hatt et variert program som spenner fra duorepertoar til større ensembler. De har vært gjester i BBC Radio 3s «In Tune» og «BBC In Performance». Nylige kammermusikalske samarbeid i Storbritannia inkluderer opptredener med The Nash Ensemble og folkemusikeren Kathryn Tickell OBE og hennes gruppe «The Side».
Fra januar 2023 ble Louisa utnevnt til professor i cello ved Barratt Due musikkinstitutt i Oslo. I 2011 ble hun tildelt tittelen «Associate of the Royal Academy of Music» (ARAM) i London for sitt bidrag til musikken.
I 2019 var Louisa solist med Oslo-Filharmonien i Richard Strauss’ Don Quixote, under ledelse av sjefdirigent Vasily Petrenko. Innspillingen ble utgitt på LAWO og ble kåret til «Editor’s Choice» i Gramophone Magazine i januar 2020.

Louisa spiller på en cello laget av Nicolo Gagliano i 1745, generøst utlånt av Dextra Musica Norge.
Cellist Louisa Tuck is the Solo Cello of the Oslo Philharmonic, a position she took up late 2015. Prior to this she spent 8 years as Section Leader cello of the RoyalNorthern Sinfonia. She has recently been guest principal of the Philharmonia Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Louisa has collaborated for many years with pianist Anna Tilbrook, enjoying a varied programme of duo to larger ensemble repertoire. They have been guests on BBC radio 3 in tune and BBC in performance. Other recent UK based chamber music has been with The Nash Ensemble and folk artist Kathryn Tickell OBE and her group ‘The side’.
As of January 2023, Louisa has been appointed Professor of Cello at Barratt DueInstitute in Oslo.She was awarded ‘Associate of the Royal Academy of Music’ in London, ARAM in2011 for her services to Music.
In 2019, as a soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic in Strauss’ Don Quixote, Louisa featured on a recording with Principal Conductor Vasily Petrenko. Recorded on the LAWO label. Louisa plays a 1745 Nicolo Gagliano cello, kindly on loan from Dextra Musica Norway.
